Hold your side's button and speak. Let go when you're done.
The translation appears on the other side and is read out loud. Your own words show on your side, as they were heard.
Heard wrong? Tap ✎ Fix under your words, correct them and send. The wrong version is crossed out on both sides.
Prefer not to hold? Tap once to start and tap again to finish. Or type or paste in the box above the button.
LIVE A normal conversation
Tap Start once. The phone keeps listening to both people.
It works out by itself whether each sentence was English or Russian — nobody presses anything.
Each sentence appears translated on the other person's side. Tap Stop when you're done.
SIMPLE An ordinary translator
Type, paste or dictate any amount of text. Line breaks, lists and indentation are kept.
Tap Translate. ⇄ swaps the languages; the buttons under the translation read it out or copy it.
Listen writes down what's said and translates it as it goes: you speaking, a talk, or an audiobook.
It adds to the text already in the box; afterwards you can edit it and tap Translate again. Play a recording
out loud on another device or a speaker: a phone can't hear what its own apps are playing.
LEARN Tap any word
Tap a word in a translation to see what it means, its basic form, and how to say it.
Pause briefly at the end of a sentence; that's when it gets translated. Put the phone between you. In settings, “Flip the Russian side” turns the top half to face the other person.
Live mode pauses itself after 5 minutes of silence or when you leave the app.
